Our Mission

Pioneer Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that provides nutritious food with dignity to neighbors in need in the Pioneer School District area through donations and the work of dedicated volunteers.

Our mission is to help feed people in need in our area of Mason County while always serving with compassion and respect.

100% Volunteer-Based

Pioneer Food Bank is a fully volunteer-based and community-partnered organization. We rely upon individuals, businesses, churches, and service clubs in the community for the resources needed to sustain our mission.

Our History

Pioneer Food Bank has been a Pioneer Community-run food bank since 2014.

Prior to 2014, the food bank was operated with support from Mason Matters, AmeriCorps volunteers, and Pioneer Community members.

What We Do

At Pioneer Food Bank, we are dedicated to securing and distributing nourishing food and essential household items to our neighbors in need. Through strong community partnerships, we work daily to fight food insecurity and support family stability.

By offering both nutritious meals and critical hygiene products, we aim to address the holistic needs of every individual and household that walks through our doors.

Food

Fresh and packaged food, beverages, meats, eggs, and staple items sourced from local partners and direct donations.

Essential Items

Personal hygiene products and other donated necessities when available, helping families maintain dignity and health.

Community Support

Food drives, local businesses, farms, churches, service clubs, nonprofit partners, grants, and individual donors help make the work possible.

Compassion and Respect

Open to All

No one is turned away — all are cared for.

Inclusive Support

We provide assistance to all people without regard to religious preference, race, national origin, age, sex, marital status, or disability.

Zero Cost

All services are provided at no charge or obligation.

At Pioneer Food Bank, we believe that hunger is a challenge we can only solve together. Our daily distribution networks, mobile pantries, and emergency programs depend entirely on the shared commitment of our local community partners, businesses, and neighbors.
